Early Years had a visit from the Police, where they enjoyed trying on parts of uniform and looking inside the Police car.  In the afternoon, PCSO (Police Community Support Officer) Wes came in to talk to the children (Reception class firstly and then the rest of the school, and finally Year 5 and 6 separately) about his job as a Community officer and how to keep themselves safe both online and in the real world. The children had lots of fascinating questions for Wes including “What happens if someone phones me that I don’t know?” and “What age can people be sent to prison?”. The visit was a great success; reassuring the children and fostering increasing positive relationships with the local police force.
