We are delighted to announce that Holy Trinity will be participating in the Street Tag Oxfordshire Schools Games Season 1 from 5th Oct 2020 to 28th Dec 2020.

About Street Tag

Street Tag is exceptional at bringing together families, neighbours and communities to get out more, by turning streets and green spaces into a virtual playground. Street Tag increases families' outdoor experience in walking, running and cycling more to earn rewards.

How to Participate in Street Tag and How it Works

  1. Install the Street Tag app on the App Store or Play Store (or at www.streettag.co.uk)
  2. Join the school team using QR code (found at the bottom of the letter and on the school website).
  3. There can be up to 250 players in our school team.
  4. During the Street Tag experience, families, staff and children record their distance walked by scanning virtual tags (each tag is worth 10 points on average) at various locations. Completed steps- done indoors or outdoors- are then converted into points through the steps sync feature. Families can watch their total distance (points) accumulate to climb up on the School leaderboard. Street Tag creates healthy competition, promotes being physically active and provides an opportunity to engage in a fun play experience, which can earn your school team prizes. Overall, Street Tag delivers active happiness to families.
  5. There will be prizes for the top 3 schools on the leaderboard.

Vouchers worth £50 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

Steps to join your School Team

  1. Download the App “Street Tag” from the Play Store/ App Store.
  2. Click on sign up.
  3. Fill in your details.
  4. The password should be at least 8 characters with 1 special character, 1 upper case and 1 number. 
  5. If you are FAST Member, please put your Username as your FAST program card- last 4 digits with P and use Referral code = “fm7c_fastfamily“.
  6. Click YES for Team QR Code.
  7. Scan the school QR Code.
  8. Click Sign Up
  9. Verify either with email or phone number.
  10. Fill in the questionnaire.
  11. You are ready to go.

Features of the App:

Menu (top left) where you will see:

  1. Leader board: The leader board displays your rank, team name and the number of points you have.
  2. Opportunity: The opportunity section is a way for all users to know what’s going on and new things they should look out for!  When a new opportunity is placed by Street Tag, you get a notification.
  3. Dashboard: You can see your team’s scores and individual player’s score.  Miles/distance covered.
  4. Tags can be seen on the main screen map. The tags are yellow. Once they are scanned, they turn red. A tag cannot be rescanned within an hour.

Tips for Parents/Guardians to add a child as a player in their team

1. Make sure your child has an Email ID.

2. A parent can add a maximum of 2 children as players (P1 and P2).

3. Click on the ‘add player’ icon found on the main map screen of the app.

4.  Fill in all the details to add a player.

(Please input User-id as the last 4 digits of your FAST card number- if applicable.)

5. Go to the main menu on the Street Tag app, click on Settings and then go to Profile option.

6. Select Add P1 and P2 options.

Once a child is added as a player, you can see the P1/ P2 option on the main screen.

While tagging with your children, please click on P1/P2 to scan a tag for them.
