As part of their topic about WW2, year 6 set off on Monday to the STEAM museum in Swindon, dressed as WW2 evacuees, for the museum’s annual wartime event, ‘We’ll Meet Again’.  Each year, the museum is transformed to recreate the era of the Second World War and children have the opportunity to experience life in wartime Britain for a day, immersing themselves in the sounds and sights of the Home Front. Sessions included spending time in an air-raid shelter, being selected as an evacuee at the train station, exploring the importance of the varying roles of women during the war, and learning about the role of the railways.
