In an exciting trip linked to their topic of WW2, Year 6 visited the ‘We’ll Meet Again’ event at the Steam Museum in Swindon. The children experienced a taste of life during wartime, learning about evacuation, family life, the importance of the railways, what it was like in an air-raid shelter, and the roles of women in wartime. The class looked fantastic in their 1940s outfits and remembered to carry their gas mask boxes and identity cards!
