Year 1 took part in the "Big Anti-Bullying Assembly" at the beginning of the week.  They based their activity on the book, "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?" by Carol McCloud.  They had a class discussion and came up with a huge list of acts of kindness that they could show to others - what a kind and thoughtful bunch!  They wrote these ideas down and decorated buckets for their anti-bullying display.

Lower Key Stage 2 explored the difference between being rude, mean and bullying. Each day the children were presented with a different scenario, and they discussed whether it was rude, mean or bullying. They explored what they would do help the different children in each example and make sure they were okay.

For anti-bullying week Upper Key Stage 2 joined the ‘Big anti-bullying assembly 2021’, pledging to put an end to bullying by recognising what classes as bullying, hearing about some of the impacts of bullying and learning what to do as individuals to support victims. They all identified their ‘five person support network’, drawing around their hands and writing who they could go to if they were being bullied. Over half the class volunteered to be chosen as anti-bullying ambassadors.
