Christmas Tree Festival

Forest School

This term the Year 2 children have been enjoying Forest School. They certainly have been blessed with good weather. Forest School sets learning in a different context for children where they can undertake a range of practical activities and carry out small achievable tasks. At Forest School children can develop their team working skills and also learn to become more independent. Those who are unfamiliar with woodlands and green spaces can become confident in using them and this can form the basis of a life-long relationship with natural spaces.

Christmas Appeal

Today we launched our Christmas shoe-box appeal. In today's assembly the charity explained the work that they do and how this benefits children in Eastern Europe. The children will be bringing home a leaflet, in the next week or so, explaining about the charity's work. "People say 'it's just a shoebox' but it isn't. It tells that child someone, somewhere, has done this for them; that someone cares about them." David Cooke Founder
