Children's Mental Health Week

This week has been Children’s mental health week, and we have been exploring ways of looking after our mental health and well-being. Within school, we have also been focusing on respecting ourselves, each other and our school environment, which all helps to support our mental well-being.

Reception read the story ‘ The Dot’, which explores how, at first, something can seem difficult, perseverance it can become easier. They also thought of things they can do to help us when they are feeling sad, worried or scared. Using oil pastels and listening to music, which expressed different emotions, the children created a whole class display based on the story.
